Sepia Wednesday

Sepia Chimney Rock

I thought this would make a good sepia due to the content.  You can imagine the wagons passing by here on the Oregon and Mormon Trails, excited to see something so odd looking and thrilled to have topography again.   Chimney Rock, in Nebraska, marked a third of the trail was done for those going to Utah.

  1. I never considered a large plateau of a rock in Nebraska. Of course I hadn’t been in the ground in this state west of Omaha. Or flown over. So this gives me a new view of the Cornhusker State. I couldn’t imagine traveling only 1/3 of the way of my journey at this point, in a wagon….
